The Importance of Little Things ("TILT") is an ALL-VOLUNTEER nonprofit founded in 2015 to help professional caregivers provide unique NON-MEDICAL items and services to low-income, END-OF-LIFE patients.
TILT provides help in two ways:
1. By quickly mailing checks of up to $150.00 to professional caregivers with which to buy special gifts or services requested for their low-income patients; and
2. By connecting professional, end-of-life caregivers to our website's "Suggested Gifts" page, "Suggested Articles" page, and "Suggested Websites" page, wherein TILT can share with caregivers the type and variety of items and services that can be obtained "out there" with TILT's help.
TILT understands that a professional caregiver's caseload -- especially in hospice -- is often demanding and time-consuming. In addition, a patient's dire medical condition may leave little time in which to address an identified need that could greatly improve that patient's quality of life.
Keeping this in mind, we developed our Quick Check Program's application process to be simple, with a fast turnaround time.
